Sometimes, life brings unexpected changes our way.
I thought I had figured out my life's plan, in spite of many tears I've cried, I know that this new path, or what seems to me new, is going to be good. I have been dreading writing this last post. It is not only painful, but just one more thing to do to close off this part of my life.
Brian and I have decided to go different ways in life. A dream I once thought would last a lifetime is now dead. The pain still exists, yet I have this complete peace and understanding that this is where we need to be. When I begin to doubt myself or this whole crazy life, I am reminded by those that love me, I am being guided and am listening to the One who created me and takes care of me. I know this is difficult for some to understand, but we cannot judge others when you have not been here.
It is a difficult thing to explain why we have decided this. Especially when, just a year ago, I would have NEVER said okay to such a thing. To me, then, marriage seemed black and white and, no matter what, lasting till the end. And now, just a year later, my perspectives have completely changed. My love has both died and grown. I view life more carefully but at the same time more boldly.
Although I might not have my entire life ahead of me planned, I originally thought I needed to leave Klamath Falls. After applying for job and job after job and getting only rejections, I kept receiving so much love and encouragement from my friends here that I've decided to stay in this town. A friend approached me to open a Yoga and Wellness Center. At first I was afraid of the idea of staying, since I came here with Brian and felt I needed to start over somewhere else. But the entire concept of what we'd bring to Klamath is what tugged my heart and said, stay. The Ghandi quote (thank you Mrs Abby for my first time hearing this quote), "Be the change you wish to see in the world" is how I feel about what I'm doing.
I've been teaching yoga for a few months and will be going in late May to Mexico to get extensive training. (no worries, it's a safe part. I've spoken with my business colleague, who just returned in feb from there, and said there was no sign of threat. It's more secluded and not touristy part. I know I'm a female, but most yoga students are . An there has been nothing to worry about from anyone who's gone in the past) With that said, we're planning on opening June 1, 2011. Asana Yoga and Wellness is the name. I'm building the site. So bookmark it!
Brian has decided to fully pursue his passion for firefighting full time. This is what he was meant to do and loves being a part of. He is gifted and talented to lead crews and I'm glad he has found his niche in his career aspect of life. In Spite of his broken collar bone last week, he's strong and I'm proud of him for pulling through. That doesn't include his love for running and rock climbing. Already completed 2 marathons and placed 1st and 2nd, I can't imagine how much more he will achieve.
I know I love Brian's family no less. My life will always be connected and my heart will continue to feel the love I share. I have nothing but beautiful memories with all the Sebastians. My heart grieves knowing this will cause separation among us all. But I feel more than proud to have been part of this family. I know all this sound cheesy, but I really will hold these memories close to my heart. And will never have a negative thing to say. Only love.
Thank you dearest ones

finally
Brian and I have been a little busy since out last post. Lots of new and different things going on.... plus I couldn't find the usb cord to upload any pictures!
Here are the bigger events that I've been up to since Brian was gone all summer long...
A surprise trip to Florida for Adelle's first birthday!
Then Cristina, my dearest friend from childhood in brazil and college roomate, came to visit me in August. I drove up to Portland, picked her up and we took our time driving back, hiking, camping, and all the way down to san francisco where we met up with Joshua, my brother, and so many other MKs from brazil for my friend Joel Greenwich's wedding.
This was at Multnomah Falls hike.... about a 6mile hike with 10 waterfalls along the way!!! The best hike!!
Columbiua River Gorge, right outside of Portland, we drove next to this for a couple of hours.... it's where the waterfalls were.
This was Cristina's first camping trip ever!!!! That is the South Sister, right outside of Bend. It was a great first time for me too! ... my first time being "in charge" of such a trip!
I think we saw crater lake at one of the most beautifully blue days!!
This is supposedly, one of Cristina's most memorable events on the trip!!!! Jsut outside of Klamath falls, we stopped on the side of the road and picked wild blackberries and ate them as snacks along the way!
We stopped more than once to pick!! Just too good!
Weather has been on our side this entire trip! Sunny days on Oregon/Cali coast does not happen often.... although it still was pretty cold!
We camped out just a 1/4 mile in from the coast!! We did see a sign posted on bear sightings recently. Cristina woke up in the middle of the night a little freaked out.
In wine country, we decided to take a pit stop and have some tastings....
Once in San Francisco, we arrivewd earlier than the others and went to a park/gardens.... it was chilly but so nice!
I had to eat one.... and it was the best grape of my life!!!
Our first trip to San Francisco!! Reminds me a little of Floripa!
But the main reason for the trip... was for the wedding.... This is the boy, when I was five, said, "Dad, if I'm going to marry Jill, who will cook for us?!" He was my first little crush. Great friend.
Autunm has impeccable taste! Love this couple and I can't wait to see their life's adventures!
So, once our time finished in this city, Cristina flew back to Dallas, the newlyweds began their life as a married couple... Joshua and I began our road trip to Klamath Falls...
Josh's first time to see elk! He was pretty stoked, even though the sign said to not get too close...
This blue bird was fat hungry and fearless. I'm jsut glad the windows were up!
And, once again, a new sighting for josh... never this close to deer before
We hiked down Crater lake. My first time, it was foggy the entire time, until we got down and hung out for a while... then.... the majestic blue water was more incredible than I had ever seen it before. It was so blue it didn't even look like water, more like some artificially blue dyed gel.
And some crazy people jumping off! into the freezing waters!
On our trip to the airport, we stopped at the Rogue River....
Finally, after all these trips, I took another one down to see my new little Nephew, Noah.. Although I did see others, he was definitely the highlight!
Jennifer even came down!
I got to spend my birthday with family!!!!
I also got to see my most special person in the world! My pawpaw!
Fishing at Toledo Bend with mom and Joe
Back to Klamath the same day Brian arrived. And Fall came soon after!

Brian got a new truck.... so on our way to go get it, of course we had to find some new place we hadn't been before. Lassen National Park...
Of course, brian just had to go for a run while we were out.
But winter has now arrived and we're taking many more ski trips than we have before!
Thankfully we're only dog owners and not parents. Treue cut her paw. Rather than having to go all the way back home, we bandaged it up, and left her in the truck! Guess you can't really do that as parents! lol!
Hope you enjoyed the quick update! Maybe we'll do better now? Hopefully Brian will upload pictures from his summer!
