So, I've been stuck in Klamath Falls... and mainly in our little home in Klamath for the past 2 months, since Brian left with my car and I only have a scooter to drive around.
This past weekend was my first time to get out and feel normal... no computers.
It was Kim, Jack, Sadie, Treue, and me! We left Friday evening to drive halfway to the coast.... somewhere in the middle of Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. This was our view right around the corner.
We then drove Saturday morning to the Coast. Found a great camping spot at Humbug Mountain State Park And went to the beach!
This is Kim and Jack. She found a few agates and sea glass and other fun objects... and he just wanted to stay out of the sun.
Sadie and Treue did the typical.. Chasing birds - actually she was still going after the shadows! Although I had to keep a close eye on her. She's technically supposed to be on a leash. And Treue... finding anything to chew on and eat...
Later on we found another beach area we heard was prime clamming... So we headed out early to find out what was in for us. We had to cross a creek to get away from others.... a little more difficult for some...
But we did find an awesome waterfall!
We saw lots of beautiful marine life.
But unfortunately, after hours of searching and an almost low tide, no clams! But lots of fun anyways!
We did the touristy thing... and went to Cape Blanco Light House (I always think of you, mom, when I see lighthouses, since you love them so much)
More pretty views... and random people taking our picture.
Although when no one else was around to take our pictures.... our loyal selftimer came in hand... although the dogs wern't very sure what was going on when I run back and forth from this camera thing... this was the best one. Taken at our last campsite in The Umpqua National Forest off Hwy 138 (one of my favorite drives in Oregon in the fall) on Cougar Bluffs.... just the name freaked me out. But no sightings of any animals except for some Elk in the morning on our way out.
We actually had a pretty great view from up here too.
And we stopped at Clearwater Falls to eat breakfast.
We got home Monday morning and were pretty exhausted. We didn't really stop the whole trip. Thankfully we get along really well and agreed on what seemed like everything! We had a good time together. Don't worry moms, we were safe and careful. And dads and Brian, we followed all camping "procedures".
Love you all so much. Wish you could be here closer to experience these trips with me.
Oh! And I need a vote. Which rug do you like best for our living room (the room's accent color is green and the couch is brown leather)
